Long term client and UEFA Champions League sponsor Expedia, briefed Blueprintx to execute their Sounds of Football campaign in the weeks leading up to and throughout the Champions League Final.

Against the brief Blueprintx brokered a global partnership with former Inter Milan and Manchester City player Patrick Vieira to anchor the campaign and drive media coverage.

Blueprintx shot Vieira in London pre campaign launch to deliver tools for media and capture a tactical Q&A for media distribution.

Two weeks out from the final to ensure a clear lane for coverage away from the wider sponsor frenzy, media interviews were delivered with Vieira landing in JOE.ie, Mirror, Daily Mail and Goal.com. The press release was then distributed to wider media alongside a national wire with it being picked up in all key tabloid, regional and vertical media including Daily Star, The Sun, Soccerbible, Skysports.com and The Daily Express.

The pre captured Q&A was released the week of the final to football news titles for a third wave of coverage and the campaign was rounded off with an appearance by Vieira on the ground in Istanbul 24 hours prior to the final to drive broadcast coverage.

The tools, content and access were stretched and sweated over a three week period to drive maximum exposure for Expedia and owning sponsor share of voice.
